Biocides
Application area
Microorganisms such as algae, bacteria and fungi found in many water-conducting systems ideal living conditions on an unrestricted microbiological growth usually leads quickly to breakdowns and sometimes to severe corrosion damage. A reliable monitoring of the population of microorganisms is therefore an indispensable component of the water.
The level of control required depends on the type of water-system: In open cooling systems it depends on a deposit-operation. In Klimawäschern additional requirements must be considered from a hygienic point of view. In closed circuits of the control of anaerobic bacteria play a special role. In circuits with cutting oil or Drilling oil emulsions is a sufficient protection against bacteriological degradation of the active ingredients in the foreground. By the nature of the problem is therefore the nature and extent of treatment required depends. Activities take account of ecological and toxicological effects, as well as compatibility with other drugs.
Product description
The antimicrobial efficacy of biocides GEWA extends to all types of algae, bacteria and fungi, which are sufficient in most cases, unusually low drug levels for a reliable, long-lasting control. Special advantages are the short exposure time required and the sensitivity to high or low pH values. In highly polluted with organic materials systems, the efficiency can be increased considerably by the use of network resources with biodispergierender effect.
Dosage
The dosage should generally be carried out batchwise using a suitable dispenser. In exceptional cases, a continuous dosing may be advantageous. Dosing volume and must be determined taking into account system-specific data, issues and external influences. In general, doses are 1-3 times a week is sufficient. To determine the lowest dosage, is a regular Plate count measurement
helpful. The appropriate test tubes are available.
