Achievable corrosion
In compliance with and monitoring of our proposed processing technology, the following corrosion rates are observed below and:
- Steel St 37 < 0,03 mm/a
- Copper < 0,01 mm/a
- Brass < 0,01 mm/a
Special problems arise in the preservation of old, ie for many years in-service systems. Here we must - depending on the plant quality - through appropriate cleaning and measurement methods will be sought at least in the initial optimal preservation.
So it can for example come despite the efforts of our professional corrosion inhibitors in the first time to corrosion damage, even to breakthroughs in already heavily corroded parts of the plant.
These reactions are explained by the fact that the inhibitor) in already highly advanced corrosion holes (pitting only very slowly or may diffuse is not at all.
Such problems occur in the first experience on a maximum of 6 months. After this time, the corrosion reactions occur in the treated plant almost completely stopped.
